I am writing this letter of recommendation for Matt O'Brien, owner of a great local business. Having recently been in the market for new windows for our 20 year old house, I recently contacted Matt for an estimate. An appointment was made and Mr. O'Brien showed up promptly.
Matt discussed the variety of products that he had available and took thorough measurements. As promised, within a week, Matt had an estimate for me. I had also contacted several other local window companies, both large and small. The estimate that I received from Matt was considerably less for a superior product. Matt recommended Harvey Windows. After experiencing the winter we just did, I can say they made a significant difference in the warmth of our house and overall heating cost.
Throughout the ordering and installation of the windows, Matt was timely and courteous. Matt kept to a schedule and installation was done in a timely fashion. His work was professional and he was meticulous about his cleanup each day. My wife and I would not have even known the work was going on. On one occasion Matt came to the house when I was having difficulty with one of the windows. It turned out I was operating it incorrectly. Matt was patient and very helpful.

I can't thank you enough for the wonderful job you did with our recent window replacement project at our home. As I mentioned to you when we first met, I had contacted six different window companies to obtain bids to replace 18 windows at our home and our main concern was replacing a wood window with a vinyl window.
Although your price quote was not the lowest, I believe you get what you pay for. If anyone needs new windows for his home, I know where one can find the answer. During the 70's, I built a home on my family farm, which provides beautiful views. These improved views are now crystal clear. O'Brien Windows installed Harvey windows on three sides of my home. . I find myself discovering these views as if for the first time. Our family has known Matt O'Brien since March 2003. His brother, a general contractor who has done extensive work in our house, referred him to us. Last spring Matt installed eleven Harvey replacement windows in our home in Wilton, NY. He also noticed and fixed sealing problems with several windows that were installed by a workman whom we found to be less reliable. The windows look great, are easy to clean and have reduced the drafts into our home significantly.
This spring Matt installed new 80-inch wide Pella sliding glass door between our family room and deck. This job involved replacing several pieces of dry rotted wood with pressure-treated lumber. He also replaced four basement windows. which included building casements to avoid high costs associated with non-standard sized windows. Matt will replace our front door when the new one on order comes in.
